Fires in Italy May Have Been from Electromagnetic Fields

Fires are fast becoming part of who we are in today’s times, instantly making front headlines for days on end with global warming and the carelessness or ruthlessness of people, but if something serious or unexplained is involved, we may not hear the actual events for several years when someone cannot keep it a secret anymore and “leaks it out” to the press. Such is John Hooper’s special report article in the February 11, 2004 online Rome newspaper “Guardian unlimited,” which states those continuous unexplained fires in Sicily, Italy are causing mass confusion to scientists and Italian officials who are unable to explain what happened in the middle of January, 2004 when a rash of fires and explosions began to occur in a little fisherman’s quarter.
Of course, the honory president of the International Association of Exorcists, Father Gabriele Amorth, believes there is a very legitimate reason for the rash of unexplained fires—“What is happening is what normally happens when the devil enters the lives of those who let him in.” Unfortunately, he is the only one who seems to know what went on when according to the article, “39 inhabitants of Caronia were evacuated from their homes while a multi-disciplinary team of ‘experts’ entered the area with measuring devices to examine spontaneous combustion of washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, electricity meters and cables.
One such professional, Gianfranco Allegra of the Italian Center for Electro-technical Experimentation, stated that he actually had seen “an electrical wire lying on the floor catching fire when it was not plugged into the main electrical force at all.” The following Monday after this occurrence, a chair literally burst into flames and a fire started in a water pipe. Arson was immediately ruled out, as that was the first idea to be researched. The Regional Civil Defense Chief said that the fires and combustions seemed to come from a dispersion of electrical energy, with no determined origin as they occur even if the power is cut-off.
Nothing new to the area, Mayor Lucio Donatello said this has happened before in February of 1990, near the village of San Gottardo, which is located near Venice. Personally, he said his electric razor caught fire in his hands after giving him an electrical jolt. Another time he found his car engine running with the doors locked, while the right front door burst into flames. Up until that time he felt none of this was anything but mass hysteria—his personal events changed his thoughts about it, while Professor Giuseppe Maschio of the University of Messina felt that the fires possibly have something to do with an electromagnetic field.
